A Simple Summer Dessert Starring Seasonal Fruit and a Lavender Twist.
There’s something deeply comforting about a fruit crisp—especially one that lets the natural sweetness of stone fruit shine through. This Apricot and Plum Crisp with Lavender Scone Topping is a seasonal, no-fuss dessert that brings together fresh summer fruit and a fragrant lavender biscuit topping, thanks to our Treasured Roots Lavender Scone Mix.
It’s the kind of dessert that feels rustic and homey, but with just enough sophistication to serve at a dinner party or bring to a crab feast. You can throw it together in under 15 minutes, and it bakes up beautifully golden, bubbly, and fragrant. We used fruits we had on hand (apricots and plums, but it would pair equally well with almost any seasonal fruit or berry!)

Why You'll Love This Recipe
Uses fresh, seasonal fruit – we used apricots and plums, but feel free to swap with whatever is fresh! Cherries, berries, peaches, or apples would all pair nicely.
Quick to prep – our Treasured Roots Lavender Scone Mix makes the topping effortless.
Balanced flavors – the fruit is sweet and tart, the topping is buttery and lightly herbal.
Perfect for sharing – this dish travels well and tastes great warm or cold.
Ingredients
For the filling:
4–5 cups sliced fresh seasonal fruit
¼ cup sugar
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1–2 tsp cornstarch
Optional: a pinch of cinnamon or vanilla extract
For the topping:
1 package Treasured Roots Lavender Scone Mix
½ stick (4 Tbsp) cold butter, cubed
2–4 Tbsp milk or cream
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F. Butter an 8x8 baking dish or similar.
Make the filling:
In a large bowl, toss sliced fruit with sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Pour into your prepared baking dish.
Make the topping:
In another bowl, combine the Lavender Scone Mix with the cold butter. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to work the butter into the mix until it resembles coarse crumbs. Drizzle in just enough milk or cream to bring it together into clumps—don’t overmix.
Assemble:
Sprinkle the scone topping evenly over the fruit mixture.
Bake:
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling around the edges.
Cool slightly and serve warm with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or a spoonful of Greek yogurt.
Optional Finishing Touch
Drizzle the finished crisp with local honey just before serving to enhance the herbal notes and add a little golden shimmer.
Serve it at:
A backyard barbecue
A crab feast (yes, really—this dessert cleanses the palate perfectly)
A summer brunch
Any evening when your fruit bowl is overflowing and you want something sweet
