From our roots to your table, discover the magic of truffles.

Truffles are a rare and remarkable type of fungi that grow symbiotically on the roots of certain trees, such as oaks and hazelnuts. Celebrated for their rich, earthy flavors, they're coveted by chefs and food enthusiasts worldwide. Traditionally, trained dogs are used to hunt for ripe truffles, making the harvest a unique and exhilarating experience.

At Treasured Roots, we're cultivating two of Europe's most sought-after black truffle varieties - the Perigord (Tuber Melanosporum, also known as the Black Winter truffle) and Burgundy (Tuber Aestivum, the Black Summer truffle). In 2025, we'll be planting the extraordinary Appalachian Truffle (Tuber Canaliculatum), a native species once described by James Beard as "exquisite."  With its bold, garlicky aroma and cinnamon-hued flesh, the Appalachian truffle is gaining recognition among Mid-Atlantic chefs for its unforgettable flavor and deep regional roots.

Our truffle orchards hold the promise of delivering the freshest, most aromatic truffles straight from our soil to your table. While it will take a few years for our trees to mature, the journey is part of the magic. Locally cultivated truffles offer unmatched freshness and a chance to be a part of the exciting truffle hunt experience.
