Lavender S'mores

A Grown-Up Twist on a Campfire Classic

Lavender S'mores: a grown-up twist on a campfire classic

There’s something about a s’more that feels like pure summer magic—crispy graham crackers, gooey marshmallows, and melty chocolate. At Treasured Roots, we love honoring traditions while adding just a touch of the unexpected. Enter: the Lavender S’more.

By simply sprinkling a pinch of dried culinary lavender onto your chocolate before toasting your marshmallow, you take this childhood favorite to a whole new level. The lavender adds a bright, earthy-sweet note that balances the richness of the chocolate and gives the whole treat a sophisticated edge—without losing its kid-approved charm.

It’s the kind of campfire treat that makes grown-ups say, “why didn’t we think of this sooner?”

Lavender S’mores Recipe

Ingredients (makes 4 s’mores):

• 8 graham cracker squares

• 4 large marshmallows

• 4 pieces of good quality chocolate (milk or dark)

• ½ teaspoon dried culinary lavender buds

Instructions:

1. Place a piece of chocolate on top of one graham cracker square.

2. Sprinkle just a pinch of lavender buds over the chocolate.

3. Toast your marshmallow over the fire (or broil in the oven for 1–2 minutes until golden).

4. Carefully place the toasted marshmallow on top of the lavender-sprinkled chocolate.

5. Top with the second graham cracker and gently press together until the chocolate starts to melt.

6. Enjoy immediately—sticky fingers are part of the fun.

Tip: If you want to get extra fancy, swap in a square of lavender-infused chocolate or drizzle with honey before sandwiching.

Why Lavender?

Lavender pairs beautifully with chocolate because its lightly herbal, earthy-sweet flavor cuts through the richness and adds depth. It’s unexpected, but it makes you want to go back for another bite.

This simple twist proves you don’t need a campfire (or a complicated recipe) to make memories—you just need good company, good chocolate, and a little lavender.
