Dark Chocolate Lavender Brownies

These brownies are rich, chocolatey, and have a subtle lavender twist we love. And the secret ingredient? Espresso. We were skeptical at first, but trust us - it adds a depth and flavor that takes them to the next level.

INGREDIENTS
Dry ingredients
1 cup flour
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp Treasured Roots culinary lavender buds, chopped
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips or chunks
Wet ingredients
1/2 cup melted butter
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup hot water or brewed espresso (this secret ingredient is a game changer!)
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Mix wet and dry ingredients separately, then combine. Do not overmix.
Spread into greased 8x8 pan.
Bake 22-26 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cool, slice, and try not to eat the whole pan in one go.
