Artisan Honey

Honey that tastes like here.
honeybee.png

Our bees. Our hives. Our farm.

A lot of honey comes with a label. Ours comes with a place.

Made by bees that forage around Treasured Roots Farm, our honey is a reflection of the flowers, seasons, and landscape where it was made.

100% FROM
OUR FARM

Our honey is harvested from our hives at Treasured Roots Farm
NOTHING ADDED

No added flavors or sweeteners. Just honey made by bees.
NEVER
HEATED

We do not heat or pasteurize our honey during processing.
NATURAL BEEKEEPING

We do not use  chemical interventions in our hives.
TRACEABLE FLOWER TO JAR

From our hives to your table, we know where your honey came from.
What does here taste like?

Like wildflowers in bloom. Like warm summer afternoons. Like the hum of bees across open meadows and native woodlands. Like the first harvest of something we've been working toward for years.

Taste this place.
What does local really mean?

The word local can mean many things.

Honey can be considered local to a region even when it is collected from multiple locations or blended from multiple sources within that broader area. That can make it difficult to know exactly where the honey in a particular jar originated.

We wanted to do something more specific.

For us, local means knowing exactly where the honey came from. Our bees forage across Treasured Roots Farm. We know where our hives our, where our bees are working, and where our honey is harvested.

Because honey is not made from a recipe. It is made by bees gathering from whatever is blooming around them - the flowers, the weather, the season, and the landscape.

Change the place, and you change the honey. That is why no two harvests are exactly alike - and why the honey in this jar could only have been made here.

The flowers blooming around Treasured Roots Farm are where the story begins.

Our bees forage across the farm and bring back nectar to our hives. When the honey is ready, we carefully extract and bottle the harvest. The result is a jar of honey with a story we can trace all the way back to the landscape and season where it began.

Wildflower Honey

Our signature honey, made by bees foraging across the flowers and plants blooming throughout the farm and surrounding landscape.

The result is a true expression of the seasons at Treasured Roots Farm -

a honey that changes subtly with the landscape and time of year.

Lavender Honey

A limited-edition, single-forage honey made during one precise moment in our lavender bloom. For about six weeks, we placed dedicated honey boxes beside the field, so the bees worked almost exclusively from lavender.

This isn't lavender flavored honey - it's honey shaped by one crop, one place, and one fleeting moment in time.
