A taste of this place
culinary.png

We believe some of the most interesting ingredients begin with a place.

At Treasured Roots Farm, we're cultivating ingredients that are as distinctive as the land they come from. Lavender, honey and truffles each bring something unexpected to the kitchen and give us another way to share this beautiful place.

Our approach is simple: grow thoughtfully, harvest with care, and create foot that makes people curious about where it came from.

From our roots to your table, discover the magic of truffles.
Truffle icon

Truffles are a rare and remarkable type of fungi that grow symbiotically on the roots of certain trees, such as oaks and hazelnuts. Celebrated for their rich, earthy flavors, they're coveted by chefs and food enthusiasts worldwide. Traditionally, trained dogs are used to hunt for ripe truffles, making the harvest a unique and exhilarating experience.

At Treasured Roots, we're cultivating two of Europe's most sought-after black truffle varieties - the Perigord (Tuber Melanosporum, also known as the Black Winter truffle) and Burgundy (Tuber Aestivum, the Black Summer truffle). Additionally, we are cultivating the extraordinary Appalachian Truffle (Tuber Canaliculatum), a native species which is gaining recognition among Mid-Atlantic chefs for its unforgettable flavor and deep regional roots.

Our truffle orchards hold the promise of delivering the freshest, most aromatic truffles straight from our soil to your table. While it will take a few years for our trees to mature, the journey is part of the magic. Locally cultivated truffles offer unmatched freshness and a chance to be a part of the exciting truffle hunt experience. â€‹

Honey that tastes like here
honeybee.png

Our bees. Our hives. Our farm.

A lot of honey comes with a label. Ours comes with a place.

Made by bees that forage around Treasured Roots Farm, our honey is a reflection of the flowers, seasons, and landscape where it was made.

What does here taste like?

Like wildflowers in bloom. Like warm summer afternoons. Like the hum of bees across open meadows and native woodlands. Like the first harvest of something we've been working toward for years.

Taste this place.
